Ginger Peach Yogurt

This ginger peach yogurt is so fast to prepare- it doesn't take more than a minute to put it together.

If you always have organic plain whole milk yogurt in the refrigerator, you are ahead of the game when it comes to eating well, as there are so many things you can do with this nutrient-dense and incredible versatile food.

Yogurt is, of course, a cultured food and contains probiotics that help to keep your digestive and immune systems healthy. You can easily make healthy homemade yogurt, or buy a brand that is made with the best milk available. My favorite commercial yogurts are those organic varieties with the "cream on top"- one of my favorites is made by Stonyfield Farms (it is so creamy and smooth!), and some of my other favorite brands are Hawthorne Valley, Old Chatham, Seven Stars, and Butterworks.

Fresh ginger is wonderful for the digestive system, and it makes a slightly unusual but delicious addition to yogurt. The added bee pollen here gives you a boost of amino acids and helps you fight bacteria and allergies. If peaches are unavailable, you could use any other type of fruit instead. Berries, for example, are delicious with yogurt.

1 tsp. local bee pollen
1 peach, sliced
