Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie

This smoothie blends up two of my all-time favorite flavors- raspberries and chocolate! Raspberries are naturally sweet and high in anti-oxidants and healthy fiber This smoothie makes a great pre- or post-workout healthy snack, but it also makes a nice light breakfast, or even a healthy dessert.

You can make this a green smoothie by adding a handful or two of any greens (I had one with some swiss chard from my garden recently and it was great, but other suggestions are a head or two of baby bok choy or a few leaves of kale), and feel free to leave out the protein powder if you prefer a more pure fruit and chocolate experience (or try Sun Warrior raw vegan protein powder made from sprouted whole grain brown rice).

You can experiment with coconut milk or raw milk or yogurt or kefir for the liquid, as well.

Don't skip the raw chocolate, though! I can not say enough good things about Navitas Naturals Raw Chocolate Powder It is high in magnesium, iron, fiber, and anti-oxidants- I absolutely love it.
